One of the perks of having your own domain is the ability to set up e-mail addresses for it. cPanel makes creating a new email address simple.

Adding an Account

After you have logged into your cPanel account, find the Mail section and click on the first icon: Mail Accounts

On the next page, fill out the form for new email accounts.

  1. Enter the first portion of the email address. If you are trying to create “[email protected],” just type in webmaster.
  2. Enter the password for the email account, then type it into the next field. Note that email passwords cannot be recovered, only changed.
  3. cPanel will let you know if your password is secure. If your choice is not secure enough, consider using the supplied Password Generator.
  4. You can set a disk quote for the mail account or you can remove quotas entirely.
  5. When finished, click Create Account.

  1. Click on the Password and Authentication link associated with the account you want to edit.
  2. Choose a strong password or use the Generate box to create one for you. Make sure you write this down somewhere for safe keeping as they can be complicated passwords.
  3. Once you are done, click the Change Password box to complete the password update.
