However, all plans are welcome to contact our customer service team at any time of the day or night, 365-days a year, toll free at 1-888-705-0890 or by EMAIL[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”2″ heading=”How long will it take to get my website up and running?”]Because each website varies vastly from one site to another, it is impossible to predict how long it will take to complete your site before actually sitting down for your initial interview. Once we obtain the required information however, an estimate for services will be drawn up and an estimated completion time agreed upon. Some websites can be completed in as little as 7-business days, while others may take a few weeks.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”3″ heading=”My website was built some time ago, can I hire you to expand upon my existing site?”]Most of the time, yes. For your initial interview, please bring all required logins and passwords to the current website and hosting server. This information is needed to so that our designers and programmers can login and determine whether or not your hosting server is capable of the current technology we employ. Some lower-budget hosting providers never update their software, making it impossible for us to work on your site. If we determine that your current hosting provider is incapable of accepting our upgrades, we may suggest that you move to another hosting solution.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”4″ heading=”Are all packages up-gradable?”]Yes, as well as downgradeable. Whether you need to increase storage space or perhaps trim your costs, all packages are easily scalable. Though, we do ask that you alert us of any changes a month before the expected change. From this point, it is simply a matter of gathering the correct information to transfer the DNS settings from (a) your current hosting solution (if you have one) or (b) your initial service with Backhouse Media.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”6″ heading=”How much does it cost to transfer my domain name to the Backhouse Media Server?”]When contracting us for any package (cheapest to most expensive), your domain transfer is FREE and we will even pay for the next years renewal![/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”7″ heading=”I am already using an email with my existing domain, how will this effect it?”]If switching DNS, Backhouse Media can transition your old email accounts onto the new server. However, depending on the number of accounts and current usage, we may need to take additional steps to ensure a smother changeover. For instance, if you are simply using a few personal accounts, the transition can happen instantly. Contrarily, if you are a business, running many accounts and wish to keep everybody’s email correspondence, the changeover would likely be planned for a Friday night (or during the largest down period for your business), with email service resuming by Monday morning (or before normal business hours resume). Backhouse Media will also reconfigure the email clients on your employees terminals to work with the new mail server.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”8″ heading=”Do I need to know HTML or any other mark-up language?”]No, we take care of all the coding! However, if you wish to maintain your own website, self-studying some basics may be beneficial.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”9″ heading=”Can I edit or update my website myself?”]Yes, either from the secure Dashboard that we install on your website or from the directories themselves. Remember, you own the webpage! However, Backhouse Media cannot take responsibility for any mistakes or errors that non-BHM employees make. Though, we will attempt to fix and/or salvage any mistakes on account of the user. Additional charges and fees may apply.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”10″ heading=”Will I get charged more than my plan?”]Your Bachouse Media service contract will state the terms of any additional charges which may be incurred. The default allows Backhouse Media to bill an additional 25% above the original estimate or quote without client approval. However, these terms may be adjusted based on the client’s comfort level.[/pl_accordioncontent][pl_accordioncontent name=”accordion” number=”11″ heading=”How do I Cancel?”]We always hate to lose a client. Some of our plans require time commitments, while others have no-strings-attached. Please refer to your service contract for the rate and terms of cancellation. Also, please note: Once your contract with us has been terminated, your website will no longer be kept on our servers or backed-up regularly. Therefore, should you choose to resume service, we are unable to continue your site where you left off.[/pl_accordioncontent][/pl_accordion]
